We still live in a world where many women suffer in silence when it comes to periods or the menopause, particularly in the workplace. A survey by CIPD in 2023 revealed that 53% of women had to take time off work because of debilitating symptoms of the menopause.

The same survey found that 79% of women found it difficult to concentrate at work whilst going through the menopause. Whether that be through their physical symptoms like hot flushes or bladder leaks, or brain fog, it can be really challenging to show up to work each day, whilst experiencing all of these symptoms and more. Due to lingering stigma or lack of workplace support, many women choose to suffer in silence or even call in sick if they are struggling.
