Nixi Body is on a mission to keep women moving throughout menstruation, with their range of sustainable and comfortable period underwear.

Nixi Body was founded by Mum of two, Kelly, in 2019 as a solution to bladder leaks and uncomfortable sanitary towels when playing sports. She envisioned a world wear those who menstruate could still enjoy sports and not have to worry about accidental leaks, or the discomfort that can come with towels and tampons. So she designed her own period underwear, and the rest is history.

Business partner, Coni Longden-Jefferson, joined her in 2020, and the two worked on the sustainability angle to market these period pants as a plastic free option. The name Nixi comes from a group of Greek goddesses who were known to support women throughout reproductive stages, but particularly during childbirth. Today, Nixi is on a mission to ensure people have comfortable products to support them throughout menstruation, menopause, and childbirth, all without the use of plastic and any nasties that typically are found in more mainstream brands.

Plastic Free Periods Many mainstream period care products contain single use plastics, alongside a host of other nasty chemicals. Disposable tampons and pads can generate more than 200,000 metric tons of waste annually. Nixi Body proudly provides a sustainable alternative with their washable range of period underwear.
Women in Sport Girls and women on their period typically will choose not to play sports for fear of leaks and discomfort. Nixi Body is on a mission to help keep women and girls active during their periods with their range of comfortable, leak free, VPL free period underwear, which sit perfectly under sportswear.
Breaking the Taboo Around 1 in 3 women will experience bladder leakage during their lifetime. Despite bladder incontinence being increasingly common, women are still embarrassed to talk about it and often lack the resources to help themselves. Nixi Body aims to open up the conversation around this, as well as champion practical solutions.

Nixi Body has become a popular choice for sportswomen and new mums worldwide, providing increased comfort, reliable leak protection, and a sustainable switch for periods and making movement whilst mensurating possible for so many women.

In 2022, they rebranded as Nixi Body and entered into partnerships with Bounce Fitness and Pledgeball. Today, they are on a mission to continue to be the first choice period product for sports lovers and those on the move and are loved by the likes of Netball England and more.

More About Nixi Body Period Underwear

The idea for Nixi Body came about when the founder was struggling with bladder incontinence after having children. Fed up with the uncomfortable mainstream products on the market, she decided to design her ideal solution to accidental bladder leaks and periods. At the time, Kelly found that most of the options on the market were still bulky and not appropriate for women playing sports. Nixi Body is the result of her tireless research and passion to keep people in sport whilst menstruating. In 2019, Kelly designed her first pair of VPL free, leak free knickers called BP3.

By 2020, Nixi Body underwear became available in Decathlon, Mountain Warehouse, and Superdrug. With the joining of business partner Coni Longden-Jefferson in 2021, Kelly rebranded the company to Nixi Body. In 2024, they launched a partnership with Limitless School Kit to help remove some of the barriers faced by girls in sport. Most recently, Nixi Body has become the chosen product for Netball England.
