Product Description

Apparatus designed for the demonstration of the basic principles of the a.c. transformer. The various coils and cores will also serve as the basis of many experiments in electromagnetism, using either the direct or alternating current. The inclusion of the BSEN 61010 compliant mains coil and the 6 turn copper coil from the Induction Accessories Set provides the necessary power for the nail melting experiment. The set of aluminium rings when used with the mains coil allow the Thomsons rings demonstrations.The Induction Kit includes:1 x Philip Harris Dissectible Transformer1 x mains coil1 x Induction Accessories Set.The Induction Accessories Set includes:A 6 turn copper coil.Set of aluminium rings, 2solid and the third split to show that the rings must be continuous for levitation to take place.Solder trough to demonstrate the principle of the induction furnace.
