Product Description

The PU880 is a new model in the Cobra 2 way radio family. This design is more sophisticated, less rugged and more for indoor use, even though it has a wide range of up to 10km. It has 16 preset channels and our favourite features VOX function and Vibr alert. This particular model also has an ultra long runtime (16 hours) and 360 degrees swivel holster.

The PU880 has 16 channels to choose from, channels 1 to 8 are available by default. Channels 9 to 16 need to be activated by the user before they can be selected. (Channels 9 to 16 should only be used in countries where these frequencies are allowed by government authorities). the PU880 also has 121 privacy codes which are made up of 38 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) codes and 83 DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch).

A VOX function is also included on the PU880, the Users voice is detected and the radio transmits without the need to press any buttons, freeing the users hands for other tasks. 5 VOX sensitivity levels allow the user to select at which point the radio will detect their voice.
