Cash register also prints receipts for you to give to your customer as their proof of purchase. Some cash registers have the function to print a customer copy as well as a store copy. This further allows you to keep track of purchases for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.

You will also need to choose between standard paper and thermal. Thermal paper does not require ink and instead uses heat from the printer to make the writing appear. These should be stored away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat to avoid unwanted damage to them.
