Honeywell Cut Resistant Gloves
Cut resistant gloves are essential in many industries, such as construction, warehousing, food preparation, metalwork and manufacturing. They are designed to reduce the risk of cuts, lacerations and sharp edge injuries when handling blades, tools, machinery or sharp materials. Cut resistance is measured under the EN 388 standard, which tests how much pressure or force a glove can withstand before being cut.
Most of our cut resistant gloves are made from high performance fibres like HPPE, Kevlar®, and Dyneema® and use a combination of steel or glass fibre blends to protect against higher cut levels. These materials help the glove resist slicing while still allowing movement, which is essential. Understanding what level of glove protection you need to look for is vital. You can apply the following to most industries.
- Level 1 - For paper cuts, parts assembly, material handling and automotive maintenance.
- Level 2 - For construction, masonry applications and packaging
- Level 3 - Light glass handling jobs, light metal stamping
- Level 4 - Sheet Metal handling, glass handling, metal stamping and food service
- Level 5 - Heavy metal stamping, pulp and paper applications, meat and poultry and plate glass handling.
