More About Weatherwriter

Weather Writer is a UK-based manufacturer and inventor of the innovative Weather Writer Clipboards, Waterbooks, Zecom and WaterJet paper, as well as Lightshield tablet covers and waterproof pens, pencils and calculators. They began in Suffolk in the 1970s, born from a frustration of returning from outdoor work with endless soggy notes. Today, they are much loved by anyone who spends a great deal of time outdoors for work, and enjoy iconic status amongst scientists, geologists and surveyors.

Weather Writer Clipboards

These were the first products WeatherWriter® created. These clipboards use a very high grade plastic, which is also very soft, meaning that it does not crack in cold, wet weather. The clipboards feature manual hinges on either side and a clear cover over the front, allowing you to open the clipboard and write on the paper without the paper getting wet or blown around by the weather. When not in use, the cover neatly folds away and is secured with a velcro strip at the bottom, which keeps your papers secure.

WaterBooks

They soon branched out to create these completely waterproof notebooks. Using paper that is actually made out of plastic rather than just a wax coating, it is practically indestructible and can withstand harsh weather conditions and working environments. Plus, you’ll be surprised to know that you can even write on this special plastic paper with any normal pencil or biro.

Zecom and WaterJet Paper

For workers who need to use printed pages whilst working outside, this waterproof paper allows you to do this without the worry of the paper becoming soggy, damaged and illegible. The Zecom paper is designed to go through any laser printer or photocopier without jamming or becoming stuck, and is able to have any text, picture or colour printed onto it. For inkjet printers, the WaterJet paper offers the same function but is specifically designed to be used with liquid ink.
