Product Description

1. The BR-310AC is a wireless bridge for enterprise use which enables a wired device to be easily connected into a WLAN environment. The bridge facilitates the uncomplicated development of a wireless infrastructure in combination with an Access Point. No additional cable wiring is required. Thanks to high-speed transmission acc. to IEEE802.11ac large-volume data files such as high-resolution images can be transferred easily. The BR-310AC supports IEEE802.1X authentication which guarantees security in businesses. Through this the device offers security even in environments that require advanced network security such as in offices in commercial businesses or in industry that is in areas in which the Internet of Things (IoT) plays an increasingly larger role.
   
   Support of standard IEEE802.11ac for fast data transfer
   In addition to standard IEEE802.11a/b/g/n the BR-310AC also supports IEEE802.11ac for fast data transfer with which data can be transmitted with a speed of up to 1.3 Gbit/s (theoretical value). Furthermore the bridge is dual band capable i.e. compatible with both 2.4 GHz data transmission rate which is well suited for penetrating obstacles and also with 5 GHz which is relatively insensitive to interference.
   
   Support of the IEEE802.1X EAP authentication method
   The BR-310AC supports IEEE802.1X authentication which is a function with high security in combination with the authentication server. It prevents prohibited network access by unauthorized devices.
   
   Two operating modes
   Two modes of operation are available depending on the customerand#039;s application environment: Operation with a single client is used for expansion of mobility of devices by connecting a wireless bridge with a wired LAN device. Multi-client mode on the other hand has more economical advantages since up to 16 devices can be joined in a wireless environment via a single BR-310AC and an optional network hub.
   
   Here the MAC address of the device connected to the LAN port is used for wireless data exchange (MAC transparency).
   
   The WLAN connection is immediately interrupted if the device connected to the LAN port is exchanged for another device during running operation.
   
   With this operating mode a maximum of 16 wired LAN devices can be joined simultaneously by connecting the LAN cable port of the BR-310AC wireless bridge with a network hub.

   Function for saving operating logs
   The storage area for recording operating logs in the BR-310AC enables the recording of logs on device behaviour and data exchange with networks. The analysis of these logs enables fast improvement of WLAN operating conditions and detection of errors in data exchange or in case of degradation due to changes in the WLAN environment.
   
   Device management software AMC Manager
   The BR-310AC wireless bridge is compatible with the optional device management software AMC Manager. With this software network administrators can execute the functions required for device management of Silex networking products from one point for example monitor device status configuration settings update firmware automatically record device operating logs and restart the devices.
