1. This is a push button device for people who associate digital dictation with button devices, in addition the SMP3800 incorporates a barcode scanner.
   
   The SpeechMike Premium Touch not only includes the well-known capabilities of the SpeechMike Premium like the free-floating studio quality microphone, a microphone grille with optimized structure, built-in noise-reduction pop filter, antimicrobial surface or the worlds first motion sensor in a USB dictation microphone, but it also includes a new touch sensor for optimized cursor control, enhanced barcode reader capabilities for the barcode devices, as well as a revised hardware architecture enabling secure firmware upgrades.
   
   The new barcode scanner engine is based on a CCD chip technology which is more robust and drop resistant in harsh environments, because no mechanical parts like little mirrors are involved anymore. An example of supported barcodes include: EAN, UPC, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Code 11, Interleaved 2 of 5, Discrete 2 of 5, Chinese 2 of 5, matrix 2 of 5, Inverse 1D, Codabar, MSI Code for easy plug and play integration into existing systems.
